Women's Health NetWork Luncheon
Hear three young women share their experiences growing up with cystic fibrosis and navigating the world associated with having chronic lung disease. They will describe how they became collaborators with their pulmonary team and, as recipients of double-lung transplantation, will share their experiences in hopes of raising consciousness about the impact of patient narratives in policy and advocacy efforts.
The lives of these women have been documented in an award-winning film, The Power of Two, which has helped increase awareness of cystic fibrosis and organ donation throughout the world. Through their personal accounts, you can learn about the psychosocial aspects of living with chronic lung disease, and, with insight from the perspectives of these women, work toward building and maintaining effective patient communication.
